Delete Your Account

How to request deletion of your Zuno Apps login, or of an entire business and its data.

Effective: September 21, 2026  •  Last updated: November 4, 2026

Plain-language overview: A team member's access is removed by their business admin from within the app. A business owner can delete the whole business from Settings: it is deactivated at once, can be restored for 30 days, and is then deleted automatically. Legally required financial records are kept for a limited retention period as described below.

1. Team member: request removal

If you are a team member and want your account access removed, ask your business's owner or an administrator to remove you from Users in the app (tap your name → Remove user). This revokes your access, and where you have no other business on your account, also deletes your sign-in credentials. You can also email privacy@zunoapps.com with the subject "Delete My Account" and we will coordinate this with your business owner.

2. Business owner: delete a business or the parent account

Only the registered owner can do this. Open Settings → Your plan → Account closure → Delete this business. Zuno sends a confirmation code to the email address on your owner account. Enter the code in the app, review the final warning, type the business name and confirm deletion. You do not need to email support.

Parent and child businesses: cancel the parent subscription separately if you want to keep the parent account without paid features. A parent cannot be deleted while child businesses remain, including children in their 30-day recovery period. Delete the children first, then you can request deletion of the parent.

Export records you need before confirming. Records subject to a legal hold or another legal retention requirement are excluded or deletion is paused as applicable. We email you when deletion is requested, when the business is reactivated and when deletion is complete.

3. What is deleted

The records are the business’s, not ours. We do not keep a copy for you after deletion and we do not return data once the business is deleted. Save the reports and records you need before the deletion date. For example, businesses in Ireland generally have to keep tax records for six years.

4. What is kept, and for how long

Removing a single team member does not delete business records, because the business controls them. After a business deletion we keep only what the law or our legitimate interests require, for the shortest period that applies:

Payment records held by Stripe stay with Stripe under its own policies. See our Privacy Policy for the full retention details.

5. Timeline and backups

An owner request is carried out on the schedule above. Other requests are answered within one month. Deleted data can remain in our encrypted backups for a limited time: daily backups are kept for 14 days and are then removed, and short-term recovery copies are kept for 7 days. Backup copies are not used for anything else and are not restored except to recover from a failure.

6. Customers who ordered or booked as a guest

If you ordered or booked through a business’s own page, that business is the one that decides how your information is used, and Zuno provides the software for it. To ask for a copy, a correction or deletion, use the privacy request link in your confirmation email, or contact the business. For online orders, use the private link and submit the request; no extra email code is required. The business owner can approve removal sooner, or it is processed after seven days unless an active order or a recorded retention hold requires a delay. Opening the email link alone does not submit a request or erase anything. The business may have to keep some order records for tax, accounting or a dispute; if so, we remove your name, contact details and address from them and keep the rest.
